Admission

Our Designation

Danecourt was originally designated as a school for pupils with moderate learning difficulties.  However we are now increasingly catering for pupils with severe learning difficulties and more complex needs.

The school caters for pupils from Foundation Stage to Year 6.  There is a commissioned Hub class based in Woodlands Academy mainstream primary school, catering for key stage two pupils who do not need full time specialist provision.  All pupils who attend Danecourt and the Hub have a Statement of Special Educational Needs or an Educational Health Care Plan.

Arrangements

Admission to Danecourt School and the Hub generally takes place in September each year for pupils within Medway and beyond.  Places are allocated through Medway Special Education Department where admission would not significantly oversubscribe a class we therefore do not have an oversubscription criteria. All enquiries regarding placements and the appeals process should be directed through the Medway Special Education Department at Gun Wharf.
