Danecourt School

About Us

A warm welcome to our school website.

Danecourt is a community special academy for primary aged pupils. Originally designated for pupils with moderate learning difficulties, we increasingly cater for pupils with a wide range of ability levels and additional learning needs, including severe learning difficulties, autism and social, Emotional Mental Health needs. From April 2018 the school became part of a local multi academy trust, Barnsole Primary Trust (BPT), led by Sean McKeown, Chief Executive Officer.

The school has high expectations of what pupils can achieve. Our highly skilled staff team work in close partnership with pupil’s families. Our curriculum is personalised to each pupil’s needs and provides pupils with interlinked learning across a wide range of subjects and contexts. As a result, pupils develop extremely well academically, emotionally and socially. Pupil achievement is hugely valued and celebrated in a manner that is meaningful and appropriate for each pupil.

Although there is a high demand for places at the school, we very much welcome enquiries from prospective parents and carers. Our school office will be happy to arrange a school visit.
